This is a private reference site, not a Wake County government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a detainee, post bond, schedule visitation, or retrieve an official booking record. Use the official office or public-record portal that matches the type of record you need.

  • For someone in Wake County jail custody, use jail inmate records and then call the detention center if timing matters.
  • For booking photos or Wake arrest-image questions, use jail roster mugshots, the county Bureau of Forensic Services mugshot search, or NextRequest.
  • For charges after arrest, hearing dates, Clerk routing, and case status, use court records after a jail arrest and the NC Judicial Branch Wake County pages.
  • For facility-specific address, phone, visitation, and locator context, use the detention facility links in the footer.
  • For a sentenced North Carolina prisoner, probationer, or parolee, use the NC DAC offender search. DAC states that its database does not include county jail information.
